Lately.

Annabelle, the "baby tit" joined our family last week. She is so sweet, so spunky and so beautiful. Her tiny stick-of-butter-sized self already thinks she's the boss of the farm.

Addi had school three days last week and for the most part she loved it. Day two was perfect. She asked to go back when I was tucking her into bed the night before. She got up great and walked right into her classroom and was all ready to go. On Friday she started to come down with a little something, was exhausted and decided that she did not want to go. I spent some time with her in class until she was ready for me to leave. She ended up having another good day. She was looking forward to her time off this weekend.

Landon misses his sister while she is at school. On her first day I asked him, "Should we go and pick up Addi from school?" He shouted, with so much enthusiasm, "Yyyyyyeeeeeessssss!"

I have always wanted to learn how to can and have been waiting for someone to teach me how. I decided to just 'try' it and see if I could figure it out. After reading and reading and admiring my friends canning pictures I decided maybe it wasn't has hard as I had it in my mind. So this week the kids and I dove head first into water bath canning and made a huge batch of dill pickles and peaches. I really enjoy it and so did they. I know it will become a fall tradition in our home now. We are looking forward to making applesauce this week. I look forward to next fall when we are able to preserve the food we have worked so hard to grow.

Papa came for a quick visit and he worked the whole time. He comes and we get so many projects planned, started and finished.

 Papa's tickle bug is sneaky.

Grandma and Grandpa also came this weekend. Grandpa and Daddy worked on more house projects while Grandma baked cookies with the kids and played. We visited The Ice Cream Parlor twice in the same day! The kids were very excited about that!

A few other of my favorites moments from the week.

He loves to play his "boat-boat" game on the iPod. He almost gets the headphones on correctly!
It was windy and she really wanted to go play with her horse. Her solution!
Landon swipped a tortilla bowl from the counter and ate it in his beautiful princess gloves.
Landon stacked his shoes into mine!
