Woolly Bugger

Maybe it's the natural nurturing instinct, the involuntary release of the love hormone, oxytocin, or maybe it's simply their cute, new faces, big eyes and the feeling of their little tongue trying to suckle on your chin --- whatever it is that makes Addi and I fall in love with baby animals, we were puddles this day!

The barn at our friend's sheep ranch was full of baby lambs mewing and learning to walk on wobbly legs and many new mothers trying to keep track of their new babies. Each lamb was painted with a number matching the number on their mother to ensure they are not separated.

Addison was encouraged to choose one and pick it up. #43, the male of a twin set, is whom she choose.  She named him "Cozy" and once she picked him up she did not put him down for hours.

Cozy and Addi falling in love.

Brand New Twins.
Baby animal paradise.

New Mama.

Addi took Cozy along to meet the big pigs.

Addi was familiar with how to feed the new lambs.
It was similar to how she fed her brother in the NICU!

The first thing Addi said when she woke up the next morning, "What time are we going back to see Cozy today?"
